The president says his plan will reduce costs, 53% believe it will have the opposite effect.

Obama wants to buy votes.

Obama has said that he will pay for half the cost of the Obama halthcare plan by making deep cuts to Medicare.

By taking the Medical Care away form elderly people who will not be voting much longer and giving that Medical Care to younger people, essentially Obama has bought the votes of young people who will be voting for many more years.

Although Obama has lost the votes of elderly people, they will not be living that much longer.

The fact that the eldely people paid for the Medicare Coverage all of their working lives does not matter to Obama.

As far as Obama is concerned the elderly people are not going to vote for him anyway. So Obama just wants to take the money for Medicare and give it to someone else who will vote for Obama and his buddies.
