Current Health Care Issues

current health care issues
Does anyone besides myself think that Obama is making the health care issue harder than it has to be?

Why is Obama trying to build this huge bureaucratic solution to a system that needs only some tweaking? Both sides agree on a few issues that can improve the current health care system. Why not package those issues into a bill and pass that as a first step and see how it works out. The current bill sounds like nothing but a lot of pork just to win over votes. What’s your opinion?

Obama is not trying to build this huge bureaucratic solution to this problem. What he hopes to do is to reform it in such a way that would be able us to be competitive with the rest of the world. The reason that all of the world has socialized medicine is because it is preventative and therefore very cheap. No company pays for their employees health care anywhere in the world. Thus, their costs are cheaper. They can pay higher wages, because they do not need to pay high costs for health benefits.

I work in Health industry and the costs are astronomical because the med manufacturers and health insurance companies charge astronomical amounts for nothing. Tweaking would do nothing for us. A strong and radical reform might make us more competitive.

A company is paying 30% of its profit in medical benefits to the employees. The rest of the world pays 0.
