When will the new COBRA subsidy that Obama signed into law take effect?
My husband will become eligible for COBRA health insurance soon. One of the points of the new stimulus law Obama signed concerns a 60% subsidy to go toward paying that premium. Does anyone know when that will go into effect?
I got this from the ARRA:
In the case of any premium for a period of coverage beginning on
or after the date of the enactment of this Act
Everything that I read in the bill that had anything to do with COBRA said it started after the enactment of the ARRA.
