What role does the Poison Control Center play for health care providers?
Poison control centers provide information to clinicans about the nature of the poison ingested, antidote, complication or organ systems affected and guidelines on therapy and management and prevention of complication. Also, they may provide educational info to the public about toxicological hazards in the environment, first aid in case of poisoning, keeping children safe i the house, etc.
