research paper on legal issue related to health services administration need help where to look for info?
i have to do a 15 paper research paper on legal issue related to health services administration and laws to effectively address the legal issue. I need at-least 16 scholarly journal articles. I have no ideas where to start looking for this information. Please tell me where I can find this information and some ideas on a topic. This paper has to be 15 pages not counting title page, reference page and appendix or table of content. It has been a long time since I wrote a research paper and I need all the help that I can get.
well, first you actually have to choose the legal issue you want to research – that will help you narrow down your sources.
i wrote a 30 page research paper on suicide laws in my state – how the state dealt with the issue and how laws governed when/if health service depts were responsible. the sources i used were primarily state supreme court rulings found on Lexis Nexis Legal (your school should have access to this site – just check with the librarian).
One issue that you will be able to find TONS of info on is the right to die issue; i.e. should a terminally ill patient have the right to die via assisted suicide. There are many many court cases about this and many health care directives guiding medical staff on what they may and may not do in such situations.
other than Lexis Nexis Legal, i would use JSTOR and other scholarly databases to search for your key terms. but you need to choose an issue first!!
after that, your librarian will be able to help you find tons of scholarly articles/essays online and in the library.
